Center Balance
WIFD Focuser
Patent number: US 11,693,225 B2
The William Optics Internal Focus Design (WIFD) relocates the focuser to the center of the telescope.
This design effectively eliminates tube tilt issues caused by the weight of cameras and accessories. By ensuring a balanced structure and precise internal sliding of fixed optics, the WIFD system delivers stable, clear observations while maintaining a dust-free and easy-to-maintain focuser environment.

Anti-Shrink Lens Cell
To address the issue of lens deformation caused by traditional screw-based fixation, we’ve improved the design with optical-grade elastic materials in the Lens Cell. This innovation prevents the optical tube from compressing the lens at low temperatures.
Lens Cells made with this technology can withstand temperatures as low as -20°C without causing any pinched optics, ensuring optimal performance in extreme conditions.
Precise Movement
Camera Angle Rotator
Every William Optics telescope comes equipped with a precisely engineered and exceptionally smooth camera rotator, enabling effortless adjustment of the star field’s orientation within your image frame.
- Anti-Pinch Design:
Incorporates multiple material to prevent pinching due to temperature changes, ensuring smooth and reliable operation. - Oil-Sealed Mechanism:
Provides a tactile damping effect for precise and controlled rotation. - Engraved Angle Scale:
Features a laser-engraved angle scale on the component, offering precise reference points for accurate angle adjustments.
Simplify focus operation
Integrated Bahtinov Mask
Patent number: US 10,564,409 B2
A dust cap with an integrated Bahtinov Mask is conveniently located on the dew shield of our telescopes. The precision-etched pattern of Bahtinov Mask helps you quickly focus on small star points, making the process faster and easier.
- Integrated Design
By conbining the Bahtinov mask with the lens cover, we have streamlined the setup, reducing equipment needs and saving space, while ensuring both components protect each other. - Certified Optical PMMA
Unlike traditional opaque black masks, our mask is crafted from high-transparency, stable optical acrylic(PMMA) through precision laser cutting. Its superior light transmission enabling accurate focus even with dimmer stars.
Stable and convenient
Mounting Solutions
William Optics has revolutionized the traditional mounting system, enhancing both expandability and convenience for telescope users.
- Configurable Mounting Options
Equipped with universal M6 and M4 threaded holes, the William Optics mounting system supports easy installation of guider/finder scopes, guiding computers, and various accessories. - Original Handle Bar Design (Patent number D905776)
The innovative Handle Bar features a built-in slot, doubling as a base for a guiding scope, streamlining your setup with multifunctional efficiency. - Proven Structural Integrity and Lightweight Design
With a sleek, modern appearance, the mounting system is engineered for durability and stability, rigorously tested to resist wobbling or deformation. Its lightweight construction further enhances portability without compromising strength, even under the weight of heavy cameras or multiple accessories.
