Return & Refund

This Return & Refund Policy forms part of the Terms of Service for the WILLIAM OPTICS online store. By placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.


Return Eligibility

Customers may request a return within 14 calendar days of receiving the item.

To be eligible for a return, the product must:

  • Be in the original condition as received — unused, unworn, unmodified, with original tags and packaging intact.

  • Include proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation or invoice.

Returns sent without prior authorization will be refused and returned to sender.


Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for the following:

  • Custom-made or personalized items, including engraved products.

  • Items damaged due to misuse, negligence, or improper handling.

  • Items returned more than 14 days after delivery.

Discounted or promotional items under the following conditions:

  • Bundle items must be returned as a full set.

  • Add-on discounted items: if one item is returned, the remaining items may be re-priced at their original value, and the refund will be adjusted accordingly.

  • Free gifts: must be returned along with the main item; otherwise, the refund will be reduced by the value of the gift.


Return Process

To request a return:

  1. Contact wo@williamoptics.com with your order number and reason for return.

  2. If approved, we will provide a return authorization and shipping instructions.

  3. Ship the product to the following address:
    William Optics 30F., No.29-5, Sec. 2, Zhongzheng E. Rd., Danshui Dist., 251, Taiwan

  4. Once the return is received and inspected, you will be notified of the refund status.


Return Shipping Costs

  • If the return is due to a defective, damaged, or incorrect item sent by William Optics, we will cover the return shipping costs.

  • For customer-initiated returns (e.g., change of mind or order error), the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.


Refund Terms

  • Refunds for approved returns will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days after the returned item is inspected.

  • In customer-initiated cases, non-refundable transaction fees (e.g., PayPal fees) will be deducted from the refund amount.

    • Example: If you paid $300 and PayPal deducted $20 in fees, your refund will be $280.

  • If the return is due to William Optics’ fault (e.g., fulfillment error or stock unavailability), a full refund will be issued, including transaction fees.

If 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you have not received your refund, please contact us at wo@williamoptics.com.


EU Right of Withdrawal

If your order is shipped to the European Union, you have the legal right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery without providing a reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

All standard return conditions apply.


Damaged or Defective Items

Upon receiving your order, please inspect it immediately.

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item:

  • Contact us immediately at wo@williamoptics.com.

  • We will evaluate the issue and offer either a replacement or refund, at our discretion.

  • Returns due to verified product faults will be covered by William Optics.

Please note: damage resulting from misuse, improper storage, or accidents is not covered.
